Man from Snowy River Festival 2015 April 9-12

Australia's premier stockman's challenge and bush festival is on next week from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 of April at Corryong in Victoria's High Country. It offers a host of activities from a re-enactment of the brumby chase from Banjo Patterson's famous poem to a full scale street procession with a bullock team and a Light Horse detachment.

A popular feature is the Art & Photography Exhibition & Sale in the town hall on main street, which has its opening night from 8pm on Friday. The theme is the Commemoration of the Centenary of the Light Horse. This will be the venue for the first viewing of a new sepia print 'The Light Horseman' and an award-winning action photograph of a brumby entitled 'King of the Mountains'.

The Sunday finals are sure to be exciting with the greatest stock horse event in the world 'The Brumby Catch' - the ultimate test of horse and rider to halter a wild brumby and execute a controlled lead in 3 minutes.
