Harry Redford aka Captain Starlight, who no doubt could 'see in the dark', was the most notorious cattle duffer in history - droving stolen cattle from central-west Queensland to sale in Adelaide. The Harry Redford Cattle Drive commemorates Captain Starlight's feat of daring-do but only operates during daylight hours. It gives anyone the chance to participate in an authentic Aussie catttle drive for a week or three. A horse, tack and full catering is provided so long as you bring a swag and dont mind sleeping under the stars!
The online albums give a good impression of the variety of terrain to be experienced as the mob are driven along the histoirc Aramac-Muttaburra stock route by experienced drovers and capable enthusiasts, while others are content to ride tail. Few people get the chance to drove over 600 head of cattle and camp out under the stars as part of a well-run and affordable cattle drive.
